Five Reasons to do a Yoga Teacher Training
transformation
Over and over, graduates from our teacher training course describe their experience as transformational. If you are looking for transformation and personal growth, a yoga teacher training is an opportunity to find just that and so much more.
“I have learnt so much, felt so much and grown so much”
“this course is pure magic”
A teacher training is not just for aspiring yoga teachers it is also open to those who wish to deepen their own personal yoga journey. In a world that seems increasingly unstable, going deeper into the art and science of yoga can be invaluable in creating stability within, as well as for those we choose to share it with.
community
Our unique community-based training school offers an intimate level 1 yoga teacher training in small cohorts to allow for deeper connection to yoga, and to nurture a future generation of yoga teachers.
The programme is rooted in community, and with community comes support. We aim for our graduates to firstly deepen their practice, go on to gain an understanding of the many layers of yoga and then for those who wish to teach, to go on to gain the skills and outlook to share yoga with others in a meaningful way. We create an intimate environment, with a strong sense of community, individual guidance and support.
a journey
There is no one path to becoming a yoga teacher, there are many paths and everyone who comes into a teacher training brings a rich and invaluable tapestry of life experience into the group. Studying yoga is all about the journey – not the destination….
There are many ways to share/teach yoga and graduates from our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training have followed varied and creative paths depending on their lifestyles and intentions. Some have gone on to teach yoga in schools, others within hospitals, rehab centres and corporate settings. Some go off to teach full time for a living, others add on teaching to their current careers, and some find innovative ways to weave their yoga teachings into their existing work such as teaching, nursing and coaching.
“you’ll emerge as a ‘teacher’ confident with the material behind you to lead a class, share your knowledge and keep the flame of yoga alive. JW”
finding your authentic self
There are many Level 1 200-hour yoga teacher trainings out there and many ways to train, but not all trainings create an individual pathway for you to find your own authentic voice as a teacher. The focus of our training is very much on tapping into your own unique life experience and how yoga resonates for you so that you can become an authentic and unique teacher.
Our 200-hour yoga teacher training has evolved from over 25 years of running a yoga centre and is taught by a faculty of teachers with decades worth of experience. The programme offers a blend of authentic traditional methods as well as intertwining a more contemporary approach giving students a non-dogmatic but comprehensive experience into the vast and inspiring subject of yoga. The course evolves every year in response to the ever-changing world of yoga and goes beyond the physical practices, equiping students with a plethora of skills including pranayama, anatomy, meditation, ethics, philosophy and so much more.
“this course allows you to find out who you are on your own terms and gives space for you to become the best teacher YOU can be”
liberation
The ultimate purpose of all realms of yoga is liberation, an awakening to the reality of our true selves. Many yoga practitioners feel greater freedom and openness in their lives as a result of practising yoga. They gain the ability to tap into their infinite intuition within their bodies to guide their life path. For many, a 200-hour Teacher Training is a route to knowing ourselves deeper, learning to listen to our intuition thus giving us the freedom to live a life of choice and fulfilment.
Many students do our level 1 teacher training course with no intention of teaching yoga, and they see the benefits of this ancient wellness system transform their own liberational path and often they then can’t help but feel compelled to share this with others.
