Adelene Chong Yoga

Adelene is a passionate practitioner and senior teacher of Yoga. As a leading Yoga for Scoliosis and Restorative Yoga Trainer, she believes in supporting and guiding her students to unveil their fullest potential through somatic embodiment and experiential learning.

Anne Malone

As a musician and a student of yoga, Anne has a deep understanding of how music and movement flow and unfold with ease and grace, creating a rich and healing world of Sacred Sound.

Ayala

Ayala is an accredited teacher trainer for yoga for children and family yoga and her teaching style prioritises encouraging her students to appreciate themselves, find their own inner voice, and stay playful and curious.

Barrie Risman Yoga

Barrie Risman is an internationally-recognized yoga teacher, public speaker, and author. Her best-selling book, Evolving Your Yoga: Ten Principles for Enlightened Practice, is a guide for teachers and continuing students to deepen, expand, and integrate the benefits of yoga in their lives. Widely regarded as a teacher’s teacher, she’s the creator of online classes, courses, and trainings that fuel the inner journey of yogis around the globe.

Carla blends together considered and nourishing postures and practices, as well as giving the opportunity for the body to feel strong. Her younger years in performing contribute to her sequences adding playfulness and creativity.

Charli’s aim is to live a life full of heart, compassion, creativity, empathy with an ethical ethos in everything she does. 

Colin Dunsmuir Yoga

Colin is passionate about motivating the world to use yoga, breathwork and meditation to maintain mental health, reduce stress and cultivate inner stability.

Daniel Simpson

Daniel Simpson is the author of The Truth of Yoga, an accessible guide to yoga history and philosophy. His approach is engaging and fun, combining scholarly knowledge with humour and insight, while exploring the links between traditional wisdom and modern priorities.

Daniela Vanasco

Manager, yogini, coach, Reiki Master and actor working in and behind the scenes to support the Shala and to help create a nurturing, inspiring, safe sanctuary of learning and growing for its community.

Dina Cohen Yoga

Dina’s Dynamic Yoga and Mindfulness teachings have evolved over 20 years, grounded in hours of trainings with renowned teachers, and experience working with students from all walks of life: refugees and asylum seekers, dancers from the Royal Ballet, seniors practicing Chair Yoga in Care Homes or festival goers that find her getting her Flow on in a field surrounded by revellers and heavy beats.

Ellie Grace Trauma Informed Teacher Trainer

Ellie is a London-based yoga teacher trainer and educator with over a decade’s experience in teaching and lecturing on yoga.

Richard Pilnick

Elodie loves to find a way to challenge her students whether that be through less conventional poses, or sequencing, or through finding expressivity through the asana practice. Her classes are dynamic and upbeat. Expect to work hard but with a sense of joy and discovery.

Emily is a natural communicator who radiates openness and warmth and an infectious passion for the Aerial Yoga practice. Her classes are characterised by a sense of play, curiosity and exploration, interwoven with aspects of stillness, breath awareness and meditation.

Emma-Landolt-Yoga

Emma creates dynamic, flowing, dance-like sequences, synchronising movement with breath and creating a feeling of lightness, ease and deep relaxation. Her classes encourage awareness energetically, physically and spiritually. And her love of handstands and inversions brings an added sense of fun and play to her teachings.

Emma’s focus is on moving with consciousness, understanding individual physiology and exploring the energetic layers of the body. In her yin teachings, she facilitates a journey of inner transformation.

JaneJane Woolner

Giuliana is an Ashtanga Yoga teacher and a registered physiotherapist with great interest in anatomy, biomechanics and chronic pain, concepts she brings to her classes to provide students with tailored and safe guidance.

Harriet-Bone-Jivamukti Yoga

Harriet teaches a soulful and calming pregnancy yoga and a grounding, physical Jivamukti class, with hands-on assists, uplifting music and creative challenging sequences. She gives the opportunity to explore the practice within a safe, calm and soulful space.

Inna-Costantini-Yoga

Inna teaches with grace, humility and insight, imparting her knowledge effortlessly. Her devotion to the yogic path awakens in others a deeper sense of yoga beyond the physical realm.

Izzie (Isabelle) Frances Hardy (1)

A student of Gingi Lee and Kath Roberts, Izzie teaches Ashtanga in an accessible way using hands-on assists as an essential component of her teaching and personal practice.

Jane Woolner

Jane is an Ashtanga and Vinyasa teacher who is passionate about sharing the gift of yoga with her students with a joyful spirit.

Jennie-Wadsten-Yoga

For Jennie teaching is about helping others to cultivate breath, awareness, strength and joy and taking these teachings into everyday life and “off the yoga mat.

Kate Towers

Kate enjoys making her classes fun, creative explorations of the body with no attachment to results or shapes .. always prioritising function over form.

Kath Roberts yoga

Kath is a one-of-a-kind teacher who brings a rare depth of knowledge of asana and philosophy to her inspiring, explorative and nurturing classes. She is an immensely humble, supportive and generous teacher with an intuitive understanding of the subtle nuances of the body.

Kirsty-Arnold

Our serene Administrator Kirsty advices students, answers your emails and does a myriad of other things at the Shala – all with infinite patience, diplomacy and limitless good humour. And when she’s not at the Shala, she’s busy with her career as a dancer.

Lark Liz Yoga Teacher

Liz Lark has been teaching yoga for 25 years and has a long history of collaborating with the Shala and more recently with the Shala School of Yoga. Liz has also been a Board Member of Yogacampus since its inception in 2003, teaching on their trainings alongside running her own retreats and workshops.

Martha-Winfield-Yoga

Martha’s teaching style is characterised by warmth, sensitivity and inclusivity. Expect an accessible but energetic flowing class focused on the ashtanga sequence.

Martin Aylward Meditation

Martin Aylward is a meditation teacher in the Buddhist forest tradition of Vipassana or Insight meditation.He has been teaching dharma worldwide for over 20 years with a flexible approach.

Mercedes Parellada (1)

Mercedes’ classes are focused around the breath and quality of attention; always tuning into the energy of the room and the individual’s need; and all while keeping a healthy sense of humor!

Michelle-Falzon-Yoga

Guided by her love of yoga and her experience as a life coach, Michelle awakens kids and teens to the infinite possibilities of yoga. She creates a safe space that is grounding, calming and full of joy.

Norman Blair Yoga

Norman’s teachings lead us to a place of self acceptance where we learn to let go of ego and expectations and be at one with ourselves in the present moment. His classes are characterised by precision, compassion, wisdom and insight.

Playful, but strong, Rebecca’s classes allow space for the more adventurous alongside those who are newer to yoga.

Richard Holryd Aerial Yoga

Richard started teaching traditional Yoga in 2005 – working mainly in London. He discovered Aerial Yoga in 2011 and fell in love with it. His training in both the mental and physical aspects of Yoga has helped him to understand the potential that Aerial Yoga swings have to move people closer to a deeper, more transcendent experience of Yoga.

Richard Knight (1)

Fun, creative and physically challenging; Richard enjoys teaching both slow, anatomically precise flows and sweaty, fiery dynamic flow and yin and nidra. His approach is to make everyone feel welcome by offering diverse options, making people laugh and generally trying to make his classes down to earth.

Saori-Funawatari Yoga

Saori’s classes are upbeat, playful and intensely fun. She consistently encouraged her students to challenge their own physical and emotional boundaries, within a nurturing and non-competitive environment.

Tash Tubana

Tash is the Teacher Training coordinator at the Shala, who juggles many balls and keeps operations running smoothly in an effortlessly calm and zen manner.
