5 Benefits of expanding your Level 1 Teacher Training
The yoga world has changed in many ways in the last five years. As a studio and training centre we see these differences evolve over time. Students have been introduced to a wider variety of styles of yoga and utilise classes for more than the physical benefits of the practice, often relying on studios as a third space. With remote working becoming more common, this third space can become a haven for students allowing space for expansion, peacefulness and tranquility. Our 300-hour training is for teachers who have already completed their level 1 (200–hour) training and offers a plethora of benefits as a working yoga teacher. Here are just a few:
The modules that can be studied are mostly chosen by the student, so you can take modules to expand your knowledge and dive deeper into specialist topics such as yoga nidra, pranayama, aerial yoga, meditation, sacred sound and ceremony to name a few. This allows teachers to study what they are passionate about and delve deeper into our diverse array of modules to allow you to expand your knowledge and teach these specialisms once you complete the training.
Many Level 1 students go off and, in some shape, or form create a rewarding life path as a yoga teacher. Many also study for their own personal development. All our 300–hour students are aiming to teach yoga and comment that they find studying with a group of teachers hugely beneficial as a space to connect, be creative, make connections. It also provides space to find inspiration, access guidance and potential peer support and be part of a teaching community.
Most Level 1 training courses have foundation topics such as anatomy, philosophy and pranayama. However, many teachers for various reasons do not utilise this knowledge in their teachings and the knowledge can start to fade. Our Level 2 training allows students to delve deeper into these foundational topics to boost knowledge and build upon it allowing you to get a refresher but also some fresh ideas on how you can include this knowledge in future teachings
The training is designed in a way to allow you to create and define your own training path and study when you are inclined. This is an invaluable way to creatively find your passions, try new things and expand when you do find what ignites a flame in you
Our teachers are specialists in their subject matter and will help you to evolve your teaching to align with more contemporary research. Many of our students have taken a Level 1 training over 10 years ago, however research around teaching yoga has evolved as well as the yoga space such as the popularity of online classes. Update your knowledge from whenever you last studied with up-to-date research on many modules and an approach that interweaves modern knowledge with traditional knowledge to give you the competitive edge and further strings to your bow.
