300-hour Yoga Teacher Training | Level 2 Course
The start date for our 300-hour programme is flexible. Courses IN STUDIO at the Shala as well as some in VIRTUAL LIVESTREAM format.
Our unique, 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training (Level 2 yoga teacher training) allows you to create a personalised 300-hour, modular-based advanced teacher training pathway, where you can further your studies with a team of inspiring teachers as and when you have the time, funds and energy. On completing your 300-hour training, you can register your 200 hour + 300 hour Yoga Alliance courses to certify as a 500-hour qualified teacher.
The flexible structure of our Level 2 trainings means there are just three mandatory core modules, which give you 110 hours and then you can choose modules from a selection of 1 to 6-day teacher training courses IN STUDIO at The Shala, HYBRID or VIRTUAL livestreamed. You need to have already completed an accredited 200 hour course and then all hours accrued from individual modules are gathered towards a 300-hour certification. If your 200-hour training is with Yoga Alliance you can go on to claim RYT-500-hour status. Most modules are also available as stand-alone CPD courses, should you decide not to opt for the full 300-hour programme. Many of these are also YACEP registered.
This diverse and flexible 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training programme will give you the opportunity to continue your education, expand your knowledge and delve deeper into specialist topics of your choice. This will help you create an advanced portfolio to master yoga teaching as a life path, career and practice.

Teaching Faculty
This collaborative teacher training formed between the Shala School of Yoga and Yoga Treat, has a faculty that comprises an incredible team of senior teachers who have run a plethora of teacher trainings including 200-hour programmes and advanced trainings. Everyone on our hand-picked team has a wealth of teaching experience (usually 15+ years) and a huge depth of knowledge in their specialised subject area. Here are some of the teachers who teach on our training programmes.

Our Mission
Our mission is to cultivate teachers to truly find their unique and authentic voice, supporting and inspiring you to follow your own passions within the vast realm of yoga. We are committed to passing on our years of teaching experience and empowering yoga teachers to evolve and deepen their knowledge on their path as teachers.
A 200-hour Level 1 training is just the beginning of a teacher’s journey and our Level 2, 300-hour programme is devised to ensure continued growth and evolution happens at a pace that is sustainable and attainable.
The programme will continue to challenge, refuel and inspire you as a teacher, expanding your knowledge, increasing your confidence and nurturing and supporting you on your yogic path to be the best teacher you can be.

How the 300-hour Training Programme Works
In order for you to attain our 300-hour level 2 yoga teacher training certificate, there are three mandatory components making up 110 hours:
- Beyond Asana – The Inner Path of Teaching Yoga | Core Module 1 (formerly titled Enhanced Skills) (6o hours)
- Embodied Asana – The Art & Science of Physical Practice | Core Module 2 (formerly Advanced Teaching Skills) (40 hours)
- Yoga Philosophy Club (10 hours)
The remaining 190 hours can be gathered from a broad selection of modules, taken in any order, in the UK or abroad, online or in studio and at any point in time (within a period of 5 years). It is useful, where possible, to do the Beyond Asana – The Inner Path of Teaching Yoga Core module in your first year of studying with us, but not essential.
You can effectively create your own bespoke programme: choose the focus, choose the dates, even choose the format and spread the payments. It is also possible to do some modules with us and then retrospectively allocate those to the 300-hour programme (as long as you have not registered those modules for CPD hours).

This is especially the case when teachers have done an intensive 30-day yoga teacher training. By completing The Shala’s 300-hour yoga teacher training course, you can delve deeper into the areas of the practice that you are personally interested in and gain skills and knowledge to help you create a meaningful and purposeful vocation.
If your 200-hour is accredited by the Yoga Alliance (USA), the 300-hour training (level 2 yoga teacher training) will allow you to gain a 500-hr certificate accredited by the Yoga Alliance (200 hr + 300 hr = 500 hr certificate). If you have a 200-hour accredited by a different governing body such as Yoga Alliance Professionals (UK), you may still enroll on our 300-hour programme, you just will not be able to combine the 200 + 300 into one certification.
