Course Preparation
- Nothing to prepare just bring a “curious mind, open heart and body ready!”
- If you do have current material, props, instruments, books etc you would like to share with the group please feel free to bring and share
What to Bring
- comfortable yoga clothes
- a water bottle
- notepad & pen
- phone charger if you would like to record on your phone
- yoga mat – this can be stored at the Shala while the course is running (If you forget your mat, you may use a studio mat)
- if you wish to bring a packed lunch you may store this in the fridge – there are plenty of eateries in the area (see link from button below).
- all other props are provided
IN STUDIO | Access to the Shala & Studio Etiquette
- The access code to the door at street level is 0119 (there are two keypads at the door, please use the keypad on the right)
- The access code to the door on the third floor is C01XZ (top lock)
- If the door does not open, then the bottom lock is locked, and you will need to wait until a member of staff arrives
- Please save these codes on your phone. A member of staff may not be available to let you in if you are running late, etc.

- arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can start promptly at 10 am. It is very disruptive for the tutors and the group if students arrive partway through our first session
- note that the reception area is a food free zone
- keep the studios tidy during the training – it is not always possible for our cleaners to get in during these intensive training periods
- please refrain from mobile phone usage in the studios
Course Resources
- Manual – will be sent post training including additional zoom training, case studies, WhatsApp group, fresh material from the 3 days as well as current content to the course including videos and audio recordings. This will also include a suggested reading list as well.
Course Homework
Following the 3 day Face2Face Training :
- You will need to teach 1x Case Study Group with a group of children for 6hrs – this can be completed either by offering 6x1hr Classes, or 3x2hr MiniCamps, 2x3hrs Camps to either 5-7yrs or 8-11yrs or both splitting into 3hrs/age category. It is completely up to you.
- One of your Case Study Classes will be recorded for you to send to me to assess and provide feedback for you.
- Following your Case Study you will be required to write a Summary on your experience teaching the children and also ask the children for their feedback also to share.
- You will need to attend via Zoom a LIVE Lecture with 2 Guest specialists on Child Development – one from an alternative education background and another in the clinical professional environment. Dates TBC. If you are unable to attend you can watch the recording but it is recommended to be LIVE as you can have the opportunity to ask questions with the specialists. These will be 1hr 30 with each Guest Teacher. (1hr Lecture with 30′ Q+A)
- You will have Self Study to complete following the course this should take between 4-8hrs depending on your learning methods.
- You will receive a Suggested Reading List to use as a resource for your teachings as well as for deepening your understanding on the subject.
- Manuals will be provided following the F2F TT as extra material will also be added for you to use as a resource – video recordings, audio recordings and photographs that will be added onto the Momence System for you to access for your training.
- There will be 1 Scheduled Group Zoom Call to connect and ask questions regarding your classes, homework as a collective.
- 1x 20′ 1:1 Mentoring Session to discuss any questions you may have regarding your self study, case studies etc
- 1 Scheduled Closing Ceremony Group Call
Your Deadline for the above to be completed is the 30th May if not before.
There will also be a Work Experience Opportunity at https://www.bedfordrunfest.co.uk/festival on Saturday 6th + Sunday 7th September for you to be a part of our KulaKids Tent offering activities throughout the weekend for the children. Plus potential future opportunities if you choose to be a part of but also more than happy for you to do your own teachings following this training independently as your own brand but you can also use KulaKids Brand as well 🙂
