Karen’s holistic approach to yoga is dynamic and multifaceted, emphasizing the interconnectedness of breath, voice, and movement as essential elements of the practice.

“As a singer and voice practitioner I have always known the importance of the breath. As a yoga teacher, I have come to deeply understand its benefits to our mind and body.”
In her 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Sianna Sherman and Greta Hill of the Rasa Collective, Karen’s studies focused deeply on devotional Mantra, during which time she studied from original source, with Sreedevi Bringi, a native of South India, who taught her classes on Yoga Nidra Meditation, Bhagavad Gita, Yoga Sutras, Sacred Sanskrit for spiritual practice, yoga philosophy, Goddess traditions of India, Shiva-Shakti Tantra and sacred Indian texts. This ensures that her knowledge and understanding of Sanskrit and Mantra is accurate and deeply respectful of the ancient traditions.
In 2023, Karen trained in Sound healing with the world renowned Shervin Boloorian. Over the 100 hours training they focused on learning Gong, Crystal Bowls, Himalayan Bowl and various small percussion from around the world. Shervin’s deep reverence for the medium of sound healing and the respect for this tradition draws on many cultures and their instruments.
Karen’s personal yoga journey started around 2008 and by 2013 – yoga had become an essential daily practise, to regulate her nervous system and reduce the stresses of a fast-paced London life, whilst bringing up three daughters. For Karen, yoga delivers a sense of grounding, calm and resilience which she hopes to share with her clients. Initially, she credits her main teacher Tania Brown for inspiring her to delve deeper into the ancient traditions and become a teacher of Yoga.
Her Initial YTT (200hrs) was in London/Brighton with Yogahaven – lead by Allie Hill and Amy MacDonald in 2018. Studying further training in Yogic Breath Work with Michael Bikyer YogaLap in Jan 2020. She completed her 300Hr Advanced YT Training in 2020 studying with Sianna Sherman and Greta Hill – of the Rasa Collective – a tantric based yoga practise which incorporates deep dives into Mudra, Mantra, Pranayama, Meditation, Tantric Yogic Philosophy, Shadow Work, Biomechanics and Functional Movement – Mobility for Life. Rasa Yoga has helped her to combine her strengths and align fully by using her voice as a healing medium integrating chanting or voice activation, into Sound Baths and Yoga Classes.
