Emily Mulligan
Emily took her first yoga class as a teenager and has been drawn to yoga ever since to help realign both her body and mind. Her most transformative yoga experience, however, was not on her yoga mat but in a yoga swing, when she first discovered Aerial Yoga a few years later. She practiced Aerial yoga for a few years, moved from London to Spain, quit her corporate job and decided to follow her passion for Aerial Yoga. She trained as a Yoga Trapeze instructor with YogaBody in Barcelona and went on to set up her own group Aerial classes. During that time she also completed a 200-hour Vinyasa and Ashtanga teacher training course. This experience brought her closer to the traditional yoga practice, which she weaves through her Aerial classes incorporating breath and body awareness and mindful meditation into her teaching.
Emily combines challenging physical practice with elements of play in her “Dynamic” aerial classes which provide a full-body work-out, and she explores deep stretching and relaxing inversions in “Foundations”. Emily is a natural communicator who radiates openness and warmth and an infectious passion for the Aerial practices. She welcomes beginners and experienced yogis and invites students to approach the practice with a sense of play and curiosity, which can so often be missing from daily life.
