Our series of vinyasa “Flow” classes are designed to cultivate strength, flexibility, and mindfulness, creating a holistic and invigorating experience for practitioners of all levels. As one of the founding yoga schools in London, our goal is to create a warm and welcoming space for all those interested in a vinyasa-based yoga practice. Here at The Shala, we offer a diverse range of vinyasa “Flow” classes, so yogis of all levels can benefit:

Beginners Flow- A welcoming class designed for those new to yoga. In this class, we learn foundational yoga poses,breathwork and proper alignment and gradually build strength and flexibility in a supportive environment.

Dynamic Flow- This class is available for those seeking a more energetic and challenging class. Largely influenced by Rocket Yoga, which itself was inspired by Ashtanga vinyasa yoga, this fun and uplifting class aims to enhance physical strength, mental focus, and overall vitality.

Meditative Flow- A calming and reflective practice. This class combines gentle movements with mindfulness techniques, promoting relaxation, stress reduction, and a peaceful connection with the present moment.

What To Expect From Flow Yoga

Flow yoga creates harmony between the physical body and the mind with breathwork being the bridge between the two. Postures are often linked with a “vinyasa” which creates a fluidity to the practice allowing you to gracefully transition between postures while maintaining a focus on the breath. Here are some of the benefits you may find from flow yoga:

Mindfulness – Vinyasa promotes mindfulness by emphasising the connection between breath and movement. The intentional focus on each posture and transitions between postures cultivates a heightened awareness of the present moment, fostering a meditative and centred state of mind.
