Inversions and arm balances help to develop balance, strength and confidence. They teach us how to stay calm and connected to our peaceful self amidst the chaos of our busy and distracting lives. They can, however, be quite physically challenging and sometimes a bit daunting.
So, in these workshops we shall have time to work methodically with different techniques in the asanas to help prepare the physical foundations to go upside down. We’ll break the postures down into the building blocks for the full poses, modifying where necessary, using props, the wall and pair work to help us explore balancing in the inversions. We will focus on handstand, forearm balance and headstand which all require different but connected elements of strength, balance and flexibility.
Whether you have never been upside down before or wish to refine your technique in the poses there will be plenty to work with while having fun with turning everything upside down.
