Postnatal Yoga in studio

A nurturing, mum-focused postnatal yoga class designed to help you rebuild strength, reconnect with your body, and restore calm – while welcoming babies in an inclusive space.

IN STUDIO in West Norwood / West Dulwich, South London

Postnatal Yoga

This postnatal class is designed for mums who are ready to gradually re-engage with physical practice after birth. It offers a supportive space to rebuild strength, reconnect with your body, and release areas of common postnatal tension – particularly in the core, pelvic floor, shoulders, back, and hips.

While babies are welcome in the room (on a blanket nearby), this is not a mum-and-baby interactive class. The focus is entirely on you

The practice includes functional movement, breathwork, and postnatal-specific strength and mobility work, with modifications to suit different stages of recovery. Expect a balance of dynamic and restorative postures.

Benefits of Postnatal Yoga

  • Rebuilding core and pelvic floor strength
    Improving posture and alignment
  • Relieving tension in the back, neck, and shoulders
  • Supporting diastasis recti recovery
  • Promoting calm, focus, and nervous system regulation
  • Easing symptoms of stress, anxiety, and mood fluctuations
  • Gently increasing energy and circulation
  • Creating space for self-connection and rest
  • Offering a sense of community with other mothers

When to Join

  •  from 6 weeks postpartum after a vaginal birth
  • from 12 weeks postpartum after a Caesarean birth
  • Suitable all mothers – whether it is your first or subsequent baby –  up to around 12-18 months post-partum (depending on your recovery, needs and energy levels)
  • Please consult your midwife or healthcare provider before attending.

Baby Guidance

  • Babies are welcome up until they are confidently mobile – after which it can become hard for you to focus on your practice
  • The teacher will be mindful of the babies present, but care remains your responsibility.
  • Please bring a blanket for your baby to lie on
