Water is the element associated with the winter season in the Chinese Five Element theories. It’s a time of rest, storing, and pausing before the creativity and busyness of spring. In this yoga and qigong workshop with Mimi Kuo-Deemer, we will consider the complex dimensions of water and fluids, and look at how we can invite our bodies – which are comprised of up to 70% fluids, to harmonize with this element and seasonal energy. A fluid vinyasa practice will be interspersed with qigong practices for water. We will end the workshop with a quieting, restorative yoga practice for deep rest and relaxation.
