Yoga maximizes body tone, detoxifies, and enhances overall health, flexibility, stability, strength, and balance. It serves as a moving meditation, bringing calmness and clarity. The practice leads to a significant increase in energy, a stronger immune system, and a sense of physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
 
This accessible style is influenced by the Ashtanga (Astanga) Vinyasa method but with a feel of a Vinyasa practice, as it will venture ‘off-piste’ from the primary series to focus on functional movement and alignment principles. Expect to break down and explore postures (including revisiting the fundamentals in new ways) alongside the essential ingredients of movement synchronising with breath.
Suitable for those working at beginner or intermediate level with variations of postures being offered to accommodate mixed abilities. The focus is on establishing the key foundations of yoga:
  • building internal core strength
  • increasing strength, stability and flexibility
  • paying specific attention to alignment
  • understanding the polarity of grounding and lifting
  • engaging in a deep meditative state 
  • facilitating relaxation
