A Yin to Yang Workshop | Walking the Dragon
Saturday 15 March 2025 | 2:00 - 4:30 pm | Emma Peel | £35
Let us come together in a space where yin and yang can evolve and where water will meet fire.
In this workshop, we will explore two of the ‘Extraordinary Vessels’ – The Yin and the Yang Qiao Mai, the pathways of perspective and stance. These channels are part of a system of eight deep reservoirs of Qi that support our life and in the context of the Qiao Mai vessels, contain within them all that we have been given. The art is then in learning how to enliven the light of consciousness within these pathways, how we align to this feeling and let go just enough so its consciousness, its light, may vibrate.
Emma will lead us through a deep Yin practice which will bring us upright and to flow into a powerful yang practice.
We will explore:
- Animal parades
- Golden Seed
- Twisting the dragon
THIS WORKSHOP INCLUDES:
- Yoga theory
- Yin yoga married with meditation
- a Yang Asana practice exploring the vigorous and flowing Taoist movements
When we explore the body from within our own body, where we can learn to allow all the various experiences of the body, we begin to become aware that there is a much larger world that exists inside of us and this is where a door opens. That space that is revealed becomes a canvas of pure awareness and painted on that canvas is the essence of your being. We only need to touch this space gently to understand the vastness of the potential of our life.
This workshop will ask the questions as we prepare to move forward –
- How do I stand in the present?
- What do I see now?
- Where is my vantage point?
- What are your actions from here now in confidence?
Please note:
- This workshop is suitable for anyone, any level and ability.
- Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely and to relax.
- Please inform Emma of any ailments and injuries at the beginning of the workshop privately.
