Yin Yoga | Grounding & Nourishing With The Earth Element

Rebalance with Yin Yoga and the Earth element — restore, digest, and reconnect as we move into the autumn season.

Yin Yoga | Grounding & Nourishing With The Earth Element

2:00 - 4:30 pm | Saturday 20 September 2025 | Kate Towers | £35

September is considered a time of transition – a gentle pivot point in the wheel of the year.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), this is the late summer season, when the vibrant busyness and Yang energy of the peak of summer begins to ebb away and the first whispers of the cooler autumn months emerge. It is a time of softening and grounding, where we are invited to slow down, reflect, and re-centre.

As the Autumn Equinox approaches, we stand at the threshold of a new season. Not surprisingly, we associate this time with the element of Earth; as the last of the harvest has been gathered and we return to ground after the buoyancy and fullness of the summer months. After celebrating the Earth’s bountiful blessing, it is a time to allow the dust to settle, regroup and reset in preparation for more introspection.

In Five Element Theory, we look to nurture our Stomach and Spleen organs, both of which form an integral part of our digestion, nourishment and immunity. We will focus on these energy channels in our practice – bolstering us for the harder seasons ahead.

In this deeply restorative workshop, Kate will guide you through a nurturing Yin Yoga practice that supports the Earth element.

Expect long-held postures, mindful breath, and an inward focus to balance body and mind, soothe the nervous system, and replenish energy reserves.

This is an opportunity to:

  • Align with the natural rhythms of the season
  • Reconnect with your centre after the outward momentum of summer
  • Support digestive health and immunity through targeted meridian work
  • Rest deeply and create space for introspection.

Explore the Earth element and enjoy this wonderful opportunity to connect with our Yin energy, powering down after what may have been an action-packed summer.

“September is the month of maturity, the heaped basket and the garnered sheaf… It glows like amber.”

– Patience Strong
