Kirtan - Devotional Mantra Workshop
Indu Murthy | 26 February 2023 | 18.00–19:15 | Price: £20 | In studio
A musical meditation session for inner peace and mental health.
Chanting kirtan is a devotional practice that helps to uplift the mind, open the heart and bring inner peace. Indu Murthy describes chanting as the “fastest, easiest and most joyful way to achieve peace of mind”.
Scientific studies have found that chanting can decrease stress, anxiety and depressive symptoms, as well as increase positive mood, feelings of relaxation and focused attention.
These musical sessions are intended to be a practice in community. So, we would like to invite you to contribute to our sessions. If you play an instrument, like guitar, tabla, harmonium (we have one the studio, we just need someone to play it!), please bring it along! Come and join us for this beautiful evening of music and community.
