Inversions help to develop balance, strength and confidence. They can, however, sometimes be a bit daunting.
In this workshop we will work methodically with different techniques in asanas to prepare for going upside down:
- Suitable for those who have never been upside down as well as those refining their practice, we’ll break the postures down into building blocks, using modifications, props, the wall and pair work.
- We will focus mostly on forearm balance and headstand, but will visit the handstand, and if time, the shoulderstand. The road to a perfectly balanced inversion is usually paved with a few tumbles along the way.
