Join Mark as we turn your world upside down through exploring the many different inversions yoga has to offer. Using simple techniques, you can acquire the confidence to balance on your head, your forearms or even your hands!
When practiced with compassion and respect for the body's needs, inversions can bring great health benefits. They support strengthening and stretching of the upper body, promote blood flow and can help calm the nervous system.
Beginning with a carefully structured vinyasa sequence to strengthen and prepare your body, this invigorating practice will help move your asana practice to another level, with inversions that can facilitate a more expansive consciousness, which can be accessed on or off the mat.
In this workshop you will learn the benefit of each of the poses and how to synchronise the breath when moving into inversions and how when breath and body work in harmony, we can bring the mind into a state of equilibrium.
Safe inversions require a degree of experience in yoga and adequate core strength, so this workshop is not suitable for beginners. If you are newer to yoga please take a look at our other workshops here.
