A joyful, safe place of acceptance, bringing improved concentration, reduced stress and increased self confidence in teens

Yoga for Teenagers

In West Norwood & West Dulwich

Yoga for teens is a powerful tool for self-exploration and awareness. Many changes are taking place at this age and yoga positively supports this transition. A regular yoga practice during these years can help to balance the body's chemistry and physiology and it will benefit the mind, body and soul.

Yoga helps teenagers deal with changing emotions, as well as physically nurturing the body's flexibility. It provides a safe, secure, non-competitive environment, a space of deep acceptance where diversity is valued and encouraged. It helps to build self-confidence and offers a framework for teens to see positive shifts, without the pressure of needing to change. It is a joyful space to 'be' and a chance for much needed relaxation. The yoga class is a wonderful platform for teens to work on self-acceptance, self-love and to generally make positive changes in their lives.

Short Film of our Teens Yoga Class

Children of secondary school age.

If you would like to trial a class before joining, you can book a free single class. Select the single class option and on the checkout screen enter the voucher code KidsFreeTrial.

Parents/carers should create a Shala account using the child's name. For emergencies and data protection reasons it is essential that you register the parent/carers contact details on that account rather than the child's.

Bookings are made online for each school term. If you join the class partway through a term you can pay the pro-rata rate. Please email us to make a manual payment so we can deduct the missed classes. If your child is attending regularly and you would like us to take payment each term, please save your card details on their account.

Classes run during term time only and close for school holidays - see online schedule.

  • If your child has a serious medical condition or injury you should discuss this with us before booking a class.
  • Minor medical conditions or injuries should be discussed with the teacher before class. Please arrive 10 minutes early to discuss.

Teens classes at the Shala are run independently by the teacher and all payments for these services are accepted on the teacher's behalf. Purchases and bookings are made for each term and are non-refundable and non transferable - further terms are detailed within each individual price plan.
